Amy L. Young(艾美．楊)曾在耶魯大學接受專業的藝術訓練，又在印第安那印第安納大學取得藝術碩士學位，主修繪畫。然後，她從哈佛大學法學院畢業後，擔任律師多年。她，現在全心全力投入插畫工作，全美各地的報章雜誌上經常可看到她的作品。

Amy L. Young出了一系列(共四本)關於芭蕾舞者Belinda的故事。

1. Belinda the ballerina    大腳丫跳芭蕾（故事動畫）

舞團的評審官一口咬定貝琳達腳丫太大，舞不可能跳得好。愛跳芭蕾舞的貝琳達只好到餐廳當服務生。她跟著餐廳樂團的音樂起舞，沒想反而得到觀眾的肯定......
貝琳達最喜愛跳芭蕾舞，因此想參加評選加入芭蕾舞團，可是沒想到評審一看到她的大腳丫就不讓她參加表演，失落的貝琳達只好去找工作。她在一家餐廳當服務生，態度親切，腳步輕巧，大家都很喜歡她。後來餐廳來了個樂團，她忍不住隨著音樂起舞，被老闆發覺後請求她跳給客人看，她很高興的答應了，大家都慕名來看貝琳達精采的芭蕾舞，連大都會舞團的指揮也來了。
舞團指揮被他的舞蹈感動，邀請他到大都會劇院表演。她好高興，盡情地在舞台上表演，至於那些評審們對她的大腳丫有哪些看法，根本都不重要了。

2. Belinda in Paris 

歡欣鼓舞的巴黎人迎接著Belinda的到來，但是運輸上出了一點小問題...她的特大號鞋子還沒有運過來，這下子該怎麼準備明天的表演呢？

All of Paris was abuzz with the news — Belinda the ballerina was coming to town! But when Belinda's extra-large ballet shoes wind up in Pago Pago by mistake, she and a young ballerina must hit the streets to look for a new pair. Along the way, Belinda befriends a trio of Parisians, each with his or her own problem. Can Belinda save the day and still find ballet shoes before her performance that night?

3. Belinda and the glass slipper

Belinda在試鏡灰姑娘芭蕾舞劇的時候，出現了一個愛嫉妒又擁有小腳的競爭者，Belinda能不能爭取到她要的呢？

Belinda is auditioning for the Grand Metropolitan Ballet’s production of Cinderella. With her perfect feet, which happen to be huge, Belinda is a shoe-in for the lead. But a tiny-footed rival presents a big problem Miss Lola Mudge is the ballet’s newest dancer, and she always gets what she wants, even if it means stealing the show from Belinda! Can Belinda save the ballet from the jealous Lola?

4. Belinda begins ballet 

大腳丫Belinda在小時候就有一雙傲人的大腳，老師給了她什麼表演的任務呢？

Before Belinda was a ballerina, she was just a tiny girl… with two very big feet! Little Belinda does just fine with her extra-large tootsies until the drama teacher casts her as the clown in her school’s talent show. But Belinda’s big feet have a mind — and talent — all their own, and when she gets in front of the audience, they’ve got their own ideas about what kind of show to put on!

不知道是不是女生的關係，在大約1年多前在圖書館看到粉紅色系的這本書「大腳丫跳芭蕾」，就對它愛不釋手。當時故事的主題是「接受自己」，印象中小孩子不排斥這個故事。經過這段時間，打算重新複習，介紹這一系列的4本Belinda給小孩子們。
